Hospitals and Clinics in Doha
In Qatar, the standard of medicine in general and of government medical institutions is fairly high, but most expats prefer to go to private clinics and hospitals because of the in-built Mediclaim and Insurance cover provided by their sponsor or employer as part of their salary. While different corporates have partnered with different medical institutions, here are some of the popular ones in healthcare:
Hamad General Hospital (Hamad Medical City)
HMC has been the principal public healthcare provider in the State of Qatar for over three decades. It manages eight hospitals, incorporating five specialist hospitals and three community hospitals including the Hamad General Hospital

All paediatric emergency centres are run by the HMC, the biggest one being the one at Al-Sadd. It has 3 examination beds, each equipped with amenities required for patient examination and treatment.
